Dr. Chris Malone
Dr. Chris Malone graduated in 1997 from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, 2001 from Union College with a Master of Arts in education, and in 2024 from Carson-Newman University with a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership. Beginning his career as a teacher/coach for seven years at Doak Elementary School, he taught at Chuckey-Doak Middle School as a teacher and athletic director for one year. For seven years, Dr. Malone served as principal at DeBusk Elementary School, and then as principal at Nolachuckey Elementary School for two years. Before becoming the director of schools in 2025, Dr. Malone served as the Pre-K and Federal Programs Supervisor for 10 and ½ years. Dr. Malone resides in the Afton Community with his wife Melanie and two sons Camden and Cade. He and his family are active members of Boones Creek Christian Church.
