Greene County Schools is excited to announce our partnership with eMD Anywhere, Mountain States Health Alliance & Niswonger’s Children’s Hospital to provide care to students and staff in our schools. eMD Anywhere is a cutting edge service to allow every patient the ability to see a doctor or nurse practitioner quickly and cost efficiently without a loss in quality of care, all from the school nurse’s office. We use telemedicine capabilities for ongoing and emergent patient care, as well as a more efficient way to deliver high quality healthcare. All providers are employees of Mountain States and the cost of a visit is the same as a primary provider co-pay or a $49 flat fee for those without insurance.

eMD Anywhere is not meant to replace a primary care doctor, but simply a tool to use to help provide care when life gets hectic. Our goal is to help students with a lack of access to primary care physicians, as well as patients that need or want quicker healthcare without compromising quality, like working parents. Visit typically take less than 30 mins, can be scheduled to fit into your students school schedule as to not compromise instructional time and you can virtually participate in the visit if you choose. You will also receive a call at the end of the visit to explain the recommendations of the physician and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. Medications, if prescribed will be called directly to the pharmacy of your choice.

Please feel free to contact our school nurse if you have questions regarding this program. Registration forms are available in your school's office or by visiting the Greene County Schools’ webpage and clicking on the School Health Services tab under Departments.
