Each student that reads five books in grades 1 & 3-8; and ten books for grade 2 (* most 2nd grade students do not read chapter books) the 3rd & 4th six weeks of school will be invited to a staff basketball game on February 22. A drink and popcorn will be provided. A big thank you to Becki McInturff, teachers, and parents for promoting Text Box: Mr. Larry Collins and his officers invite you to join PTO. The PTO provides the school with a copier each year and promotes other projects. This year’s drawing is for a twin 7” DVD backseat theatre. Memberships are only $3.00 for an individual and $5.00 for a family. Send money in an envelope to your child’s teacher (Write your Text Box: name, child’s name; and child’s teacher: on the envelope). November 8th’s grade card will show each student’s grades for 12 weeks of school. I encourage each parent to look closely at their child’s progress. If there are any failing grades, please call the office at 639-7731 to schedule a conference. Last year we had a tremendous year purchasing the following: Computers, balls for the playgrounds; and software. With the holidays approaching, I encourage everyone to scan cards and Text Box: ask your family and friends. We have many needs at our school that can be addressed through this program.
