Battle of Blue Springs

 

Mosheim Elementary School's fifth graders went back in time 144 years as they visited the reenactment of the Battle of Blue Springs at the John I. Myers farm in Mosheim, TN.  They were treated to demonstrations of what life was like during the war, entertainment during the period, and medical treatment of the era.

The students also saw an overview of the typical soldiers of all wars from the Revolutionary War through WWI.  Additionally they got to meet through the reenactors Robert E. Lee and Felix Grundy, an abolitionist with local connections.
