On Tuesday, September 26, 2006,
Barabara Bates and Linda Erwin presented dictionaries to all third
grade students at our school. They shared information about guide
words, the pronunciation key, and basic dictionary skills.
Special features of the dictionaries included multiplication facts
tables, biographies of presidents, the braille alphabet, state facts,
maps of the world, facts about planets, and the longest word in the
English language.
Students expressed a heart felt thank you for
the dictionaries to Ms. Bates, Ms. Erwin and the Niswonger Foundation..
