BRIDGES TO SUCCESS |
"Bridges to Success" Program- A commitment to our students to help them be more successful in the future."
"Bridges to Success" is a Work -based Learning program that is
an alternative placement for students in the Greene County school system
who have not been successful in a traditional setting due to behavioral/
emotional/ learning difficulties. Students in this program work in
a workshop setting on pre employment skills with contracted work from community
industries. Emphasis is on special education students in high school
settings. Only juniors and seniors (sixteen years and older) may use the
Work- based Learning method for credit. Bridges is a half day placement.
Students who have historically had a high dropout rate and low motivation
to achieve, receive commensurate wages for their effort. WBL allows
students to receive actual training and experience preparing them to be successful
members of the community workforce Placements for students will be at the
discretion of the IEP team members.
