Dedicated to Serving Their Nation and Community"
![]()
The AIR FORCE JUNIOR ROTC program is a class offered through the Greene County High Schools. It is the only class offered "off-campus" to high school freshmen. Even then, placement is rendered on the basis of good attendance, behavior, and academic performance. A student may obtain up to 8 possible credits in AFJROTC throughout their High School career.
AIR FORCE JUNIOR ROTC acquaints secondary school students with the historical development of flight, and trains cadets by promoting community service, developing responsibility, character, and self-discipline. The course also promotes the understanding of their role as a citizen Cadet in a Democratic society.
To
familiarize the cadets with the possibilities of a career in the United
States Air Force, the following topics of study may be presented.
Topics
of study may include: flight, principles of aircraft flight, aerospace
environment, the advancements in space technology, and leadership
