Forty-two hard working students each completed 200 grade level math problems to raise money for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The money raised goes to pay for St. Jude medical care not covered by insurance. Those without insurance are never turned away. To show their appreciation, St. Jude presented a t-shirt, free Six Flags ticket, and a certificate to each student who raised at least $35. Any student raising $75 also received a backpack. The student who earned the most money received a digital camera.
In the past four years, DeBusk students have raised a
total of $10,985.31 for this worthwhile endeavor.
