Our mission at DeBusk Elementary School, with active support from parents and community, is to provide each student with the opportunity to successfully meet lifelong educational challenges and become productive members of society.
Our school goals for the 2008-2009 academic year are:
Reading/Language Arts Goal:
To
improve grades K-8 reading /
language
arts performance by increasing
achievement by 2 NCEs (compare
2007 performance to 2008 performance) for all students and
meeting AYP proficiency or safe harbor and attaining standard gains for
all
subgroups in 2008 and 2009.
Math Goal:
To improve grades K-8 math
performance by increasing achievement by 1 NCE (compare 2007 performance to 2008
performance) for all
students and
meeting AYP proficiency or safe harbor and standard gains for all
subgroups in
2008 and 2009.
Science Goal:
To
improve grades K-8 science
performance by increasing achievement by 2 NCEs (compare 2007 performance to 2008
performance) for all students and
meeting AYP proficiency or safe harbor and attaining standard gains for
all
subgroups in 2008 and 2009.
Social Studies Goal:
To
improve grades K-8 social studies
performance by increasing achievement by 2 NCEs (compare 2007 performance to 2008
performance) for all students and
meeting AYP proficiency or safe harbor and attaining standard gains for
all
subgroups in 2008 and 2009.
