On Friday, October 6, before the SGHS football game, the
DeBusk teachers cooked and served a meal consisting of soup beans, seasoned
turnip greens, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, tomatoes, tea/lemonade,
and cornbread. Dessert was provided by many parents who baked delicious
cakes, pies, cookies, and puddings. The fundraiser netted over $1000
to help meet expenses normally covered by fundraisers in which students
sold candy and other items.
