Modern day technology began in Greene County in 1993 with the 21st Century Classroom project. State funding was combined with a matching local supplement to purchase computers and other technological advancements to begin placing 21st century technology in our schools. In the past Greene County has received forty-one state funded 21st Century Classrooms and added nineteen more that were purchased with local funds. Most of these 21st Century Classrooms were placed in first and second grade classrooms, All first and second grade classrooms received one. Five of the 21st Century Classrooms were placed at the high school level.
