HELP YOUR CHILD LEARN MATH FACTS...
Knowing Basic Math Facts is a critical skill that helps students improve problem solving skills and improve math performance. Visit the Greene County Schools Website for a variety of math games you can play and practice online.

• First grade students should know addition facts to 20.
• Second grade students should know subtraction facts to 20.
• Third grade students must learn multiplication facts to 100.

• play online games at Greene County Schools website- http://www.greenek12.org
• write facts for specific numbers, ex: all addition facts for 10, multiplication facts for 6,7,8
• use flashcards to practice facts(they are sold at the Dollar Tree)
• listen to math facts tapes or CD's(available at A2Z in Johnson City)
• play math facts games, such as BINGO
• say math facts, or make up songs for facts

Students need support and reinforcement for bringing books and materials home and back to school.
Starting good habits when children are young helps students to be successful throughout their school
years and leads to development of organization skills that are important later in life and on the job.
